Mathematical models of 90Sr, 54Mn, and 106Ru distribution in the ground of NPP cooling pond

Description
According to laboratory model experiment data, mathematical models of 90Sr, 54Mn and 106Ru depth distribution in the ground of the South-Ukrainian NPP cooling pond, comprising a humus, loam and clay layers, are derived. It is found, that the major part of 90Sr and 54Mn was retained in the upper ground layers, while 106Ru easily penetrated into the lower levels. The results obtained may be applied for determining the pond radiation capacity, for calculating the NPP release limits
