The peculiarities of spark channel formation in air gas at atmospheric pressure

Description

The present work describes a logical pattern of the non-self maintained stage (NSMS) of a spark discharge in air at atmospheric pressure. It touches on a wide range of experimental conditions in near-field spectroscopy. Good quantitative agreement between the theoretical calculations and the presented experiment results has been achieved. These results yield a new insight into the physical mechanism of this gas discharge phenomenon
