Compatibility of ceramics with liquid Na and Li
Description
A thermodynamic criterion was developed for predicting the compatibility of insulating ceramics with liquid Na and Li. Nonmetallic impurities in liquid metals were shown to have a profound effect on the compatibility behavior of ceramics. Attempts were made to identify the structural parameters which affect the corrosion behavior of ceramics in liquid Na and Li
