Low-intermediate-level waste disposal in Switzerland

This review of Swiss L/ILW disposal focuses on the background to the programme, the work of site characterization perfomed in the last few years and the plans laid for the 1990s. The associated laboratory and modeling studies and development of performance assessment methodology are described along with equally important progress in less glamorous areas such as repository design, quality assurance/control and public relations
