Description
'Stereoscopic' geological mapping (scale 1:25000) was carried out in Shanghulin Basin in Ergun area by both technical personnel from China and Russia. This kind of 'stereoscopic' geological mapping, guided by prospecting model and aimed at overall investigating the geological structural characteristics of the basin, is characterized by the following features: 1. Compiling the geological map in advance in order to highlight the objective of geological mapping; 2. Detailed surface geological mapping with emphasis on lithologic mapping and alteration mapping and in close coordination with radiometric survey; 3. Structural geophysical profiling to transform geophysical and geochemical exploration results into geologese; 4. Laying out base hole to understand the geological structural characteristics in the depth of the basin
