Description

Two selected recent developments of the Proton-Neutron Interacting Boson Model are discussed with a review on the microscopic basis of the Interacting Boson Model. The first subject is a derivation the IBM-2 starting from the G-matrix interaction, and the second is a calculation of several IBM-2 parameters from the microscopic multi-nucleon systems. In the former, 56Fe is considered, while Cd and Xe isotopes are studied in the latter
