Description
Gastric carcinomas contribute a large patient population worldwide. Evolution of megavoltage accelerators has provision of photons of desired energy. IMRT has ability to cover the target and spare the nearby critical organs. Advancement in technology has introduced VMAT which allows continuous treatment delivery with modulated intensity map. Usually 6MVFFB energy is used for the treatment planning in abdominal malignancies; however flattening filter free (FFF) 6MV beam is gaining momentum for the treatment of such cases, due to their advantage of higher dose rate than 6MV beam
