Evaluation of bone and soft tissue tumors by computed tomography
- 1. Hokkaido Univ., Sapporo (Japan). School of Medicine
Description
Computed tomography scanning was performed in 35 patients with bone and soft tissue tumors. The comparison between CT findings and surgical findings was made in 30 patients confirmed by pathological diagnosis. 1. Elements of tumor tissue in bone tumors were assumed in some degree by determinating density. However, it was very difficult to assume the elements of tumor tissue in soft tissue tumor because the differences of density were so small. 2. Tumor volume, lacalization and relation to surrounding tissue were clearly drew out by CT-scan, and it was possible to assume the primary organ of the tumor. (Nishio, M.)
