Gamma radiation probe for measuring the soil density of thin and surface layers

Description
In connection with the examination of tillage tools a scintillation probe for soil density measurements was developed. This probe allows to measure thin soil layers (up to 5 cm), even near the surface. Considering the purpose of application, data on permissible measuring errors and on the necessary number of values to be measured are given. (author)
