Synthesis and structure of ferricenium pertechnetate

Description
Ferricenium pertechnetate has been prepared by the reaction of exchange of hydroxonium cations in aqueous solution of technetium acid for ferricenium cations. The compound has been prepared both in polycrystal form and in the form of monocrystal used for X-ray diffraction analysis: a = 8.967(3), c 12.464 (7) A, sp.gr. P3121; Z = 3, d(calcd) = 2.00 g/cm3. The compound is built of isolated cations of ferricenium and pertechnetate - ions. Tc-O distance equals 1.69 A. 5 refs.; 1 fig.; 2 tabs
