This 7th edition has been published in response to the dynamic developments experienced by the imaging methods in the last ten years after the publication of the 6th edition and the present one now also includes novel methods such as ultrasonography, computed tomography, and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. The material is arranged in two main sections, with the first and more general survey dealing with the radiology of the normal skeleton, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the bone, general symptoms and findings detected by X-ray radiography in the pathological skeleton, the morphology of the affected synovial membrane, arthrography and scintigraphy of the skeleton. The second section discusses more specific aspects, such as the diagnostic appraisal of skeletal tumors, inflammatory bone lesions, skeletal tuberculosis, osteoarticular sarcoidosis, hyperostosis triangularis, sternocostoclavicular hyperostosis, inflammatory skeletal lesions, enthesiopathy, periarthropathy, degenerative joint lesions.
