Description

A first report presents the context and objectives of the project of development of offshore wing energy off Normandy, and of the related public debate. It proposes an overview of methodological elements for the assessment and optimisation of connection solutions, described connection strategies for areas displaying a lesser impact. It proposes a long-term planning for the optimisation of the volume of offshore wind energy production of the perimeter of the Normandy coast. It presents preferential solutions for the connection of the first gigawatt. Appendices propose a comparison between alternating and direct current, and an analysis of potential impacts of an offshore connection on the marine environment. A second document presents connection strategies for a projected offshore wind farm
