Radiosynthesis of [O-methyl-11C]viqualine through an N-trityl protected intermediate for evaluation as a PET radioligand for 5-HT re-uptake sites
Creators
- 1. Hammersmith Hospital, London (England)
Description
The isoquinoline derivative, viqualine, is a potent inhibitor of 5-HT re-uptake. The authors have considered that the labelling of viqualine with carbon-11 might provide a radioligand for PET studies of 5-HT sites. They have developed a method for the labelling process and conducted a biological evaluation of the [O-methyl-11C]viqualine thus produced in rats
