Description
Chloric decomposition of kaolin clays and siallits is considered in this work. Chemical composition of kaolin clays and siallits is studied. According to results of physicochemical studies it was defined that initial siallits and kaolin containing ores differ on mineralogical and chemical composition. Based on conducted studies following optimal conditions of siallits chlorination with reducer - coal were found: temperature - 800 deg C, process duration -120 minutes, quantity of reducer - 50% and size of siallits particles - 0,1 mm. This gives mixture of aluminium and iron chlorides.
