CROM Code (Codigo de cRiba para evaluation de iMpacto) v6.0. Users guide

Description

This is the user guide of the code CROM v6.0 for the screening evaluations of the impact of release radionuclides to the environment based partially in the IAEA Safety Report Series No 19, and improved with other models coming from European Radiation Protection No 72. The basic purpose of the code is to evaluate the impact of discharges of radioactive substances to the environment due to continuous emissions which are performed in normal operation. The models contained, simulate the transport and dispersion for atmospheric and aquatic releases, using them to calculate soil deposition, sedimentation and air and water concentrations for different water bodies (river, small lake, and sea). It also calculates activity concentrations in food (cattle, vegetables, fruits and seafood). Finally, effective doses are calculated from the obtained results, as was defined in the international IAEA BSS (SS No 115). The guide is written in English and Spanish languages. (Author)
