Oxygen effects in radiation biology and radiation chemistry

Description

The question of the influence of O2 on the radiation sensitivity of organisms, cells and biomolecules is reviewed. Evidence is presented to show that there are two mechanisms that govern the manner in which O2 acts in cells. It is also suggested that these may in addition be other mechanisms but no evidence is presented to support this
