Overview of ENSDF activities in India

Nuclear Structure and Decay Data (NSDD) evaluation in the ENSDF (Evaluated Nuclear Structure and Decay Data File) format is considered as one of the important activities worldwide under the aegis of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which is maintained and coordinated by the National Nuclear Data Centre (NNDC), USA. In the ENSDF evaluation, the experimental nuclear structure data on nuclear level energy, level lifetime, spin and parity of a level, gamma transition energy, multipolarity and conversion coefficient of the transition and some other related parameters are evaluated for each nucleus and are grouped as isobars i.e all the nuclei under the same mass number and a set of this evaluation is called a mass chain evaluation. India has now become one of the active members in the NSDD network and has contributed regularly and significantly for more than 10 years
