Description
A theory of a continuous twin boundary is developed by assuming that the sites allowed in the Cu1-O planes of YBa2Cu3O7 are occupied by anions with equal probability. An analogy with the two-component alloy ordering is used and a spin formalism to describe the domains and domain walls is proposed. An equation of the Landau-Lifshits type is derived, its solitary and periodical solutions are found and the domain structure period is estimated
