1. High-energy radiation effect on certain binary systems
Description
Results of investigations into the sphere of radiation chemistry of sulfhydryl compounds are integrated. The effect of high-energy radiations on the binaAy systems of thiols or thiourea with representatives of different classes of organic substances is studied. Gamma-radiolysis radical products are identified. Their yield deviation from the additivity rule is established. Processes of formation, accumulation and death of paramagnetic particles are characterized. Special attention is payed to the study of thiol protective effect on various compounds from high energy radiations, determination of ways of the absorbed energy transfer, establishment of the mechanism of elementary radiolysis processes
