Description
Different samples have been taken from different layers in a sedimentary phosphatic deposit and sieved. Different granulometric fractions have been selected. Uranium contents of each phosphate sample and its corresponding selected fractions were determined by using CR-39 and LR-115 solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD). Correlation between fraction grain diameter and uranium enrichment factor has been investigated. The different selected fractions of the studied phosphate samples were analysed optically. A relationship between uranium content and fraction's composition was found. (Author)
