A rotating filter for the wiggler beamline at the Swiss Light Source

Description

The advent of high-current, medium-energy storage rings and small-gap wigglers for the production of intense hard X-ray beams implies a high absorbed heat load in the filter, which removes long-wavelength radiation. A rotating filter assembly based on a commercially available crucible of glassy-carbon is described for use with a high-power wiggler beamline at the Swiss Light Source synchrotron facility
