Offshore nuclear power plants
Description
The proposal provides for an improvement of the efficiency for an off-shore nuclear power plant as well as a reduction of the environmental impact by the discharge of hot cooling water into the sea by assigning one or several temperature-gradient power plants to the nuclear facilities, which are operated by teh temperature gradient between the hot reactor cooling water and the cold deep-sea water. The reactor cooling water may thus be recycled. There are described several different designs. (UWI)

Der Vorschlag sieht vor, sowohl den Wirkungsgrad der Anlage eines Meeres-Kernkraftwerkes zu verbessern, wie die Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt durch Ableiten heissen Kuehlwassers ins Meer herabzusetzen, indem dem Kernkraftwerk eine oder mehrere Temperaturgefaelle-Kraftwerke zugeordnet werden, die durch das Temperaturgefaelle zwischen dem heissen Reaktorkuehlwasser und kaltem Tiefseewasser betrieben werden. Das Reaktorkuehlwasser kann so im Kreislauf gefuehrt werden. Mehrere unterschiedliche Ausfuehrungsformen werden beschrieben. (UWI)Files
