Cyclic stress corrosion resistance of 34KhN1M steel durind water phase transition

Description
Results of investigation into cyclic corrosion crack resistance of 34KhN1M steel used to produce steam turbine discs, in the working medium (distilled water with the addition of 1.2 mg/l of NaCl salt and KOH alkali up to 9.3 pH) within loading frequency range f=0.017-1 Hz and medium temperature T=293-368 K under stable electrochemical conditions in the crack tip with regard to their change, are presented. Tendencies of electrochemical characteristic change in the tip of steady-state and propagating crack during corrosion crack resistance testing are studied. Extreme operation and electrochemical conditions for the system investigated are determined and a quantitative evaluation of intensity of the action of mechanisms of local anodic dissolution and hydrogen embrittlement in the tip of a steady-state and propagating crack is given
