Results of the 2nd regular inspection of Unit 6 in the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Station
Description
The 2nd regular inspection of Unit 6 in the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Station in fiscal 1981 was carried out in the period of December, 1981, to April, 1982. Inspection was made on the reactor proper, reactor cooling system, fuel facility, radiation control, etc. By the examinations of external appearance, leakage, performance, etc., abnormality was not observed. The personnel radiation exposure doses during the inspection were all below the permissible levels. Improvement and other works made during the inspection were as follows: In the isolation valves in the control system for inflammable gas concentration, to improve their maintainability, the existing valves were replaced by domestically made ones of the same function.
