Description

Packard TriCarb 2900TR Liquid Scintillation Analyzer (LSA) was calibrated for Cerenkov counting and 90Sr/90Y, 36Cl and 137Cs activity was quantified by Cerenkov counting. Also sample volume optimization for Cerenkov counting using LKB Wallac Quantulus 1220 Liquid Scintillation Analyzer is performed in the present work. 0.1N HNO3 and 0.1N HCl were used as carrier solutions for 90Sr/90Y and 36Cl, 137Cs radionuclides respectively so as to avoid adsorption on vial walls
