Cobalt effect on physical and mechanical properties of precipitation-hardening elinvars

Description
Studied is cobalt effect on Curie temperature, modulus of elasticity and its temperature coefficient, mechanical properties and relaxation resistance of Fe-Ni elinvaAs. The effect of plastic deformation and mechanical heat treatment on their properties are investigated as well. It is shown that cobalt effectively increases the limiting temperature of conservation of elinvar properties. To form high thermal stability of the modulus of elasticity in Fe-Ni-Co elinvars it is necessary to conduct plastic deformation before tempering. High-temperature elinvars on the Fe-Ni-Co base is recommended for producing of spring sensitive elements with elevated magnetization and high relaxation stability up to 300 deg C
