Automated measurement of nuclear relaxation times
Description
The authors describe a method for determination of nuclear relaxation times T1 and T2 that is based on the linear relationship between these times and the areas bounded by the relaxation curves. A circuit for automated measurement of time T1 using a B3-35 microcalculator is presented. They have used the described method for a number of years to measure the relaxation times of various nuclei in solutions - in particular, those of 7Li and 133Cs in aqueous solutions. The method has proven to be highly effective and accurate and has greatly reduced the measurement time, especially in the case of long T1
