Further results on cooling mechanisms for soft x-ray flares
Description
Two solar events with discontinuous temperature decays are analyzed. Temperatures and emission measures for both flares are derived. Cooling via radiation, conduction to chromospheric regions, and the collisional process are considered and three possibilities to explain the temperature decay are cited. (U.S.)
