Chemical polishing and pickling of high temperature superconductors of Y-Ba-Cu-O system

Description
Solution composition used for chemical polishing and pick ling of high-temperature superconducting materials is proposed, possibilities of its application and effect of chemical treatment on physical parameters of ceramics and monocrystals are discussed. It is shown that under ceramics and YBa2Cu3Ox phase monocrystal dissolution in a solution, containing 3-5% of (NH4)2C4O6H4 + 3-5% of NH4NO3 + 1-3% of NaNO23 + 1-2% of NaCl polishing and purification of surface, pickling of defects (microcracks, twins), formation of pickling orientation patterns take place. The surface is not containated by chemical reaction products. As a result of chemical treatment the material physical parameters at the depth of 0.1 μm and more remain unchanged
