A theoretical study of plasma beam control for realizing fusion reactors including TOKAMAK-type and others

  • 1. Tokyo Univ. (Japan). Coll. of General Education

Description

In this paper. the realization problem for fusion reactors, in which the stabilization of a plasma beam by an external electromagnetic field is involved, is discussed theoretically. We treat this problem by taking into consideration the Boltzmann equation of electrons and that of ions, neglecting both the gravitational and relativistic effects, and getting a periodically stable distribution function. As to the result, it should be noted that the usual TOKAMAK-Type reactor is not always reasonable, because this type reactor cannot produce the periodical stability. (author)
