Measurement of an elasticity coefficient by using computerized tomography and ultrasonography
Description
Elasticity coefficients of substances were measured theoretically by using CT and ultrasonography. In a basic experiment, elasticity coefficients of liquids (olive oil and liquid paraffin) were measured. As a result of an experiment in which elasticity coefficients of livers extracted from patients with hepatic cancer, liver cirrhosis, or congestive liver for autopsy were measured, there was a clear difference in elasticity coefficients among those livers. It was also clarified that ''deep palpation'' was possible by taking ultrasonographic images and CT images at the same time. (Tsunoda, M.)
