Method to measure gas pressure
Description
A method to measure the gas pressure in hermetically sealed casinys, e.g. nuclear fuel elements, is described. An acoustic signal is sent through the gaseous medium and, after having passed through a defined propagation distance, is received again and converted into an electric signal which, after suitable calibration, is a direct measure of the gas pressure in the casing. Es wird ein Verfahren zum Messen des Gasdrucks in hermetisch abgeschlossenen Gehaeusen, z.B. Kernreaktorbrennelementen, beschrieben. Dabei wird ein akustisches Signal durch das Gasmedium geschickt und nach Durchlaufen einer definierten Ausbreitungsstrecke wieder empfangen und in ein entsprechendes elektrisches Signal umgewandelt, das nach geeigneter Kalibrierung ein direktes Mass fuer den Gasdruck im Gehaeuse ist.
