Criteria for site selection

This article begins by examining the sense and purpose of the lists of criteria used as a basis for repository site selection. This, in turn, allows a more accurate appraisal of existing criteria, particularly those identified in international studies. The following chapter looks at the criteria used in assessing Swiss repository projects; HLW and LLW/ILW are considered separately.
