Minimization of transport losses in a high-current relativistic electron beam propagating through neutral gas
- 1. Scientific-Research Institute of Condensed Media, State University, Erevan
Description
Experiments were carried out in order to minimize the intensity and energy losses of high-current relativistic electron beams (HCREB) during transport through a neutral gas by selecting the gas and the type of transport channel. The transport losses are relatively small for low-z gases if the pressure is low and composite channels, consisting of a dielectric tube housed in a reverse metallic current-carrying jacket, are used
