Irradiation of several local yeasts by fast neutron for the new strain selection

Yeast (beaker's yeast) is often used to study carcinogenic effects the cells and tissues, cause of that eukaryote cells could be performed to indicate the molecular changes, The use of these microbe as mutagenic tester in Bio molecular Application Field is usually involve of the new specific strains. fast Neutron irradiation as physical mutagen was used through local yeasts of tape, tempe and oncom mixed colonies to prove the radiosensitivity character applied by 5 Gy, 25 Gy, 50 Gy as well as 100 Gy dose, respectively. The results shows that there were six new yeast isolats found for both of radiosensitivity and the glucose absorption pattern. The colonies indentification seen as the definite species of Saccharomyces cecevisiae. S elongisporus, and Endomycopsis mali. (author)
