The IR spectroscopy investigation of the process of creation of high energy ion tracks in polyethylene terephthalate

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (Russian Federation). Inst. Kristallografii

Description

The PETP foil was irradiated with Xe ions with energy 1 MeV/n. The radial structure of tracks was investigated by infrared spectroscopy. The damaged polymer layers were removed by chemical etching and the radial dependence of carbonyl groups concentration was examined. 26 refs, 1 fig
