Superadiabatic acceleration of charged particles, and the solar and star flares
Description
A shock wave propagation with luminescence in the solar atmosphere is considered. The width of a transient zone at the wave front is estimated. Acceleration of charged particles at the wave front is discussed. Electrons and protons at an initial energy somewhat in excess of thermal energy are shown to become ''running away'' in the electric field of the wave. Electrons acquire an energy of about 30-100 keV
