Description

The F/D ratios of the pseudovector and pseudoscalar form factors in the matrix elements of the axial-vector currents between baryon octet states are shown to be almost independent of q² over a large range in q², at least q²<4 GeV², timelike. Evidence is presented to indicate that this behavior persists to much higher values of q². The smoothness of these ratios is related to the pseudoscalar-meson-baryon coupling f/d ratio, independence of q² occurring for (f/d)²=5/9.
