Two dimensional equations of surface harmonics method for finite and axially uniform lattices

Description
Two-dimensional equations for finite and axially uniform nuclear reactor lattices taking into account axial neutron leakage by means of the geometric parameter altitudinal component are obtained on the basis of three-dimensional equations of the surface harmonics method. The formulae for such reactor functionals, as energy release, absorption rate, mean neutron flux, etc. are also derived. It is shown that maximum variation in assembly multiplication factor may amount to 2% in calculation of RBMK finite and axially uniform assemblies based on using the equations obtained for axial neutron leakage accounting
