Description

Quadrupole inertial parameters are evaluated in a self-consistent approach, beyond the Inglis cranking approximation, when pairing correlations are present. The influence of their variation on the solutions of Bohr collective Hamiltonian describing even-even nuclei is then discussed. The resulting collective wavefunctions are coupled to one quasi-particle states to describe odd nuclei. Finally, the validity of the nucleon-nucleon force in use, is assessed from a thorough study of the spectra of some selected odd-odd nuclei
