The mass-energy of a finite body in general relativity
Description
A definition for the energy-momentum tensor of a finite body is given; this utilizes Synge's parallel propagator and an invariant spatial volume element. From this tensor the mass-energy invariant of the body is obtained. A new interpretation of the constant M in Schwarzschild's exterior solution is given. (author)
