Highlights: • Contrast-enhanced ultrasound values plaque stability by observing plaque neovessels. • Serum uric acid may have positive effects on the growth of neovessels in plaques. • Serum uric acid combined with plaque neovessels may help stroke risk stratification. To investigate the potential impact of serum uric acid (SUA) levels on the grade of intraplaque neovascularisation (IPN) at contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS).
