Kyoto University Institute for Integrated Radiation and Nuclear Science, (KURNS) has the following research divisions: (1) Division of Nuclear Engineering Science, (2) Division of Quantum Beam Material Science, (3) Division of Radiation Life Science, (4) Research Center for Safe Nuclear System, and (5) Particle Beam Oncology Research Center. The Institute holds academic lectures every year, mainly to inform not only joint researchers but also the general public of some of the results of joint usage and joint research conducted at the Institute. The Proceedings of the 55th Annual Scientific Lecture Meeting held online in 2021 include 2 reports on project research results, 4 newcomer lectures, 3 keynote lectures, and 30 general lectures.
