Azimuthal dependence of the deep-inelastic electron--proton cross section
Description
The deep-inelastic coincidence reaction e + p → e + p + X was measured at azimuthal angles of 0 and 1800 for incident electron energies of 8, 10, and 12 GeV. Any azimuthal asymmetry between 0 and 1800 would be due to longitudinal-transverse interference. No asymmetry was found to the experimental accuracy of 15 percent
