Description
An attempt has been made to grow the single crystals of K3BaCl5.2H2O, K3CaCl5.2H2O and Na3CaCl5.2H2O from aqueous solutions by the slow evaporation of solution method. Atomic absorption spectroscopic (AAS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements have shown the incommensurate nature of the crystals grown. TG measurements have confirmed the presence of water of crystallization. Vibrational spectra were recorded and the observed Raman and infrared bands were assigned and discussed
