Automatic translation: As a result of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, hundreds of thousands of liquidators of the consequences of the accident (LPA) and residents of contaminated areas were exposed to small doses of ionizing radiation. In the post-accident period, an increase in morbidity and disability is noted among these categories of persons. By now, more and more information is accumulating about the possibility of developing not only oncological, but also somatic diseases as a result of induced mutagenesis, including radiation. In this regard, the assessment and study of the genetic consequences of low-dose irradiation is urgent, which was the purpose of this study.
Abstract (Russian)
В результате аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС сотни тысяч ликвидаторов последствий аварии (ЛПА) и жителей загрязненных территорий подверглись воздействию малых доз ионизирующих излучений. В послеаварийном периоде среди этих категорий лиц отмечается рост заболеваемости и инвалидности. К настоящему времени накапливается все больше информации о возможности развития не только онкологических, но и соматических заболеваний в результате индуцированного мутагенеза, в том числе и радиационного. В связи с этим оценка и изучение генетических последствий облучения в малых дозах является актуальной, что и явилось целью настоящего исследования.Additional details
