Description
The extraction of U(VI) from nitric acid solutions with decanoyl acylmorpholine (DMPHL) in different diluents has been studied. The effect of aqueous nitric acid concentration, extractant concentration and temperature on distribution ratio has been investigated. The experimental results show that the extraction efficiency of DMPHL for U(VI) increases in the order of chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, kerosene, cyclohexane and benzene. The mechanism of extraction reaction might be the same in different diluents. The maximum nitric acid concentration for highest D(U(VI)) is 5-6 mol/L and the composition of extracted complex is UO2(NO3)2·2(DMPHL)
