Investigation into Mo(6) complexing with 1-nitroso-2-naphthol. Extraction-photometric determination of molybdenum in steel
Description
Complex formation and solvent extraction of molybdenum (6) 1-nitroso-2-naphtholate have been investigated. It is shown that the reagent and molybdenum (6) form a 1:1 complex which is completely extracted into a chloroform-isoamyl alcohol mixture (1:1) from the medium, from 2-3 M HCl. The extraction and stability constants for the complex formed have been calculated. An extraction-photometric method of determining molybdenum in steels has been developed
