AC susceptibility of high-temperature ceramic superconductors
Description
The ac susceptibility, χ=χ'+iχ'', of high-temperature ceramic superconductors is calculated employing a critical state model which describes the intergranular flux profiles inside a sample during an ac cycle. Intergranular flux creep causes a weak frequency dependence of the ac susceptibility. Close to Tc strong flux creep results in a vanishing pinning force density which manifests itself in a reversible intergranular flux behaviour. (orig.)
