Evidence of new high spin states excited in the 209Bi(α, 4n)209At reaction

Description
Eight new levels are identified as high spin core coupled states in 209At in coincidence studies of prompt gamma rays from the 209Bi(α, 4n) reaction. The role of the neutron hole excitations in forming these high spin states are discussed. (author)
